Universal Studios gives us four movies to watch in the Jurassic Park universe. The first is my favorite by far. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are excellent in the film. Jurassic World was alright, but you just can’t beat the original!

How’s your Jurassic Park movie knowledge? ScreenCrush gives us “Jurassic Park – You Think You Know Movies?” and details 20 things you may not have known about the most advanced amusement park in the entire world.
Champagne is definitely an appropriate drink to celebrate the occasion. However, I think you’re also going to need some jello…shots!

Drinking game: Here are two great options for a drinking game
- Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Jurassic Park’: A drinking game 65 million beers in the making
- DrinkiWiki’s Jurassic Park drinking game
Or you could go really simple and play with T-Rex arms.
Dino-Deviled Eggs Appetizer

- Cool then crack them, but don’t peel yet
- Drop in water with vinegar and food coloring to “age them”
- After 30 minutes peel and cut in half
- Take the yolks and mix with 2 tbsp. plain yogurt, 4 tsp. cream horseradish, 4 tsp. pickle juice, 1 tsp. Dijon mustard, 1 dash coarse salt, freshly ground pepper, 2 tsp. fresh dill

Let the herbivores in the pack graze at your Jurassic Park Party with veggies such as celery, carrots, broccoli, etc. and serve with desired dipping sauce.
Video game: Sure, there have been a couple of video games for the Jurassic Park franchise. But you know what you really want to play at your Jurassic Park Party is the new Lego Jurassic World game. I had a blast playing this game and all the characters (even dinosaurs!), so I recommend checking it out.
Tabletop game: I didn’t see a great many tabletop games that really stood out. Please let me know if you feel strongly otherwise in the comment section below. There is, however, a new Jurassic World Monoply game that was recently released. I haven’t played it yet, but it looks like it could make for a very fun night.
If you haven’t read the books, I highly recommend them. This year, I read Jurassic Park for the first time and was very pleased with how close the book and the movie are in concept. It is interesting to realize the book was written in 1990 and before the human genome was sequenced in 2003. To be discussing sequencing dinosaur DNA before we had even sequenced human DNA was a radical concept. All in all, definitely an entertaining read!
