Hocus Pocus is hands down my favorite Halloween movie and a must watch each October. So kick back with your girlfriends and let me show you the magic of a Hocus Pocus girls’ night.
Hocus Pocus Fizz Drink Recipe:
- 2 shots coconut rum
- 10 fluid oz. pineapple juice
- Club soda
Wet rim of glass and coat with sprinkles. The sprinkles here are from my awesome Wilton Halloween sprinkles mix. I thought the purple complimented the orange well.
Add in the rum and pineapple juice. I added one drop of red food coloring in order to turn the drink an orange color. You could also consider a splash of grenadine.
Splash club soda on top and add a few cubes of ice. Then let this drink put a spell on you! (Sorry, I just had to do it 😉

Sweets time! I thought long and hard about what food would be fun to celebrate the Sanderson sisters. And so, each of them get their own cupcake!
You might be thinking, but Sara, why is there liqueur in the picture, hovering over those delicious looking cupcakes? That’s because these cupcakes are tipsy!
Tipsy Sanderson Sister Hocus Pocus Cupcakes
- Cake mix (I chose vanilla)
- 16 oz vanilla frosting tub
- Food coloring
- Black raspberry liqueur
- Sour apple pucker schnapps
- Strawberry liqueur
Bake the cupcakes from the cake mix as directed on the box and let them cool.
Split the frosting into thirds in separate bowls.
Winifred’s frosting: Winifred is usually associated with the color green. Take the sour apple schnapps and mix in 3 teaspoons (one teaspoon at a time). I promise it will mix in well, just keep stirring. I wouldn’t advise putting in more than 3 teaspoons, as the icing will get too runny. I experimented and 3 teaspoons was the perfect amount to get the nice taste of the sour apple schnapps and still have the frosting be a nice consistency. Then, mix in 5 drops of green coloring.
Sarah’s frosting: Sarah’s color is purple. Take the black raspberry liqueur and mix in 3 teaspoons (one teaspoon at a time). Then put in 5 drops of blue food coloring and 5 drops red food coloring.
Mary’s frosting: Mary’s cupcake gets to be red. Grab your strawberry liqueur and mix in 3 teaspoons (one teaspoon at a time). Then add 5 drops red coloring.
Once you’ve got the cupcakes cooled and the frostings prepared, go to town frosting your cupcakes! I had never added in alcohol to frosting before, but I was super delighted at how wonderful it turned out. Give it a try and let me know how your Tispy Sanderson Sister Cupcakes turn out!
